Lynda M. Applegate is a Baker Foundation Professor at HBS and is Chair of the Advisory Committee for Harvard University’s Masters Degree of Liberal Arts in Finance and Management at the Harvard University Extension School. She has also played a leading role in developing and delivering HBS Executive Education Programs for entrepreneurs and business owners, most recently as Faculty Chair of the Entrepreneurial Management Unit and Faculty Chair of the HBS Executive Programs for Business Owners and Entrepreneurs.

Since joining the HBS faculty in 1986, she also served as Co-Chair of the HBS MBA Program, Chair of Field Based Learning, and Co-Chair of the Harvard Policy Group on Networked Government Services. Prior to joining the HBS faculty, Lynda was on the faculty at the University of Michigan, University of Washington, and University of Arizona. Lynda has also been an active consultant and mentor to high growth businesses and has served as a Director on venture-backed, publicly traded, and nonprofit boards. Prior to beginning her academic career, Lynda served in a variety of leadership roles in the healthcare industry.
