Charles H. Harrell II

President of The Information Technology Architect Corporation dba The IT Architect Corporation (ITA).

His career started in Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch, Fenner and Price where he championed the raising of capital for middle market organizations. However, he officially transitioned into the technology industry in May 2003 as a founder of ITA, a technology and telecommunications firm which specializes in the design, implementation, and management of the automation of business processes with innovative IT and communications solutions.

His commitment as a business and civic leader is reflected by the following committees and boards for which he sits. As of 2018, he is a member of the Aviation Minority Advisory Council (AMAC). On September 2011, he was appointed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to its Diversity Advisory Committee; also, he is an active member of the Illinois Black Chamber of Commerce on the information technology committee where he was Chairman from 2019-2020 and won an award for Business of the Year. Additionally, he also serves on the Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee (MBEIC) with the Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council, (CMSDC) as an advocacy committee member, Supplier Integration Program (SIP) sub-committee chairman; also, given his commitment to supplier diversity and advocacy, he won the Maye Foster Thompson Minority Business Advocate Award and in December 2022, appointed to the CMSDC Board of Directors; Chicago Urban League – Building Controls Automation Award and the Chicago Defender – Men of Excellence and the most recent award is the Trailblazer Distinguished Alumni from Michigan State University Black Alumni.

Lastly, he has participated in the U.S. Small Business Administration Contractor Teaming Program; the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) ERATE participant; the Internship Desk and the Illinois Institute of Technology Academic Career Education Program (ACE) as a Business Mentor Program participant, AT&T Business Growth Acceleration program, Northwestern Kellogg Ascend Advanced Management Education program, Chicago Urban League nextConstruction program and most recently the SBA Emerging Leaders program, the Capital One Catapult program and Joseph Business School, business and entrepreneurship program.

Charles H. Harrell II graduated from Michigan State University with his BA in Finance and received his JD (Corporate and Tax Law) from University of Miami School of Law.
